Battle of the Calvary

Jun 02, 2008 14:55

The sound of a whip,
beating,
against a cold heart,
a crack,
cackling among the air
of his soul.

His heart beats stronger,
louder, the
sound of men marching,
coming with me,
to go with the drums,
beating valiantly.

The sound of a shot,
calling through the plains,
a voice calling the troops,
calling me
to go to war.

I bruoght it with me,
no armor,
no tools,
no guns,
no loyalty,
no courage,
for I have nothing to fight for.

Shouts from the commander,
pushing me toward
the charging men,
sending me to my fate,

The blow hits my soul,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my loves,
all gone,
except for
my peace.
