Keep strong Japan~ And the rest of the countries affected by earthquakes and tsunami.
I went to Singapore together with 26 other RSC staff , and I had a great time.
Our trip included entrance tickets to Universal Studios, so we spent last Saturday in the theme park. USS is packed with lots of themed areas and rides, its all very nice except the whole park is really small. Wife said it's smaller than Hong Kong Disneyland so if you've ever been there, you can roughly estimate the size of USS.
I bought a couple of souvenirs including a stuffed toy. I think its an unspoken tradition to bring home at least 1 stuffed toy whenever we [JW & I] go on a trip. I got a small lion from one of the Madagascar gift shops.
Wife , Coco B , Short stuff and I headed to Clarke Quay that night. From that trip , I learned that I am allergic to white wine and I will never drink another glass in my life, for fear that I might get a heart attack and end up in the hospital. My reaction to a glass of Santa Helena White Wine [I don't know the specific name] was freaking scary after I went back to the hotel and properly thought about it. Yesterday Wheeeee told me that I might have had a minor heart attack and I should have gone to see a doctor that night.
Stepping aside from the scary side of the night, the whole experience was exciting for me because I've never been to Clarke Quay before that. We went drinking at a Spanish Tapas Bar called Octapas and the total damage of the night was about $SGD56 which was not too bad.
We managed to catch the light show at Marina Bay Sands. The effects were pretty~
I didn't take any pictures throughout the whole trip , reason being Short stuff took my memory card cos she left hers in KL. I did take a few shots of the hotel room and the sports bar which functions as a coffee house every morning. It's the home of Singapore's Chelsea FC Supporters Club so there were lots of Chelsea flags and a few jerseys.
There was a giant board of Kim Hyun Joong endorsing Face Shop in Somerset and I didn't have my damn memory card with me , thanks to Short stuff, so I couldn't take a picture of it! =( Oh well, its not like this will be the last time I go to Sinagpore, but still.
This is the most lol-worthy shot of the entire trip, because no one believes that this guy is real [as in, not a statue] no matter how much I try to convince them otherwise. Does he look that stony to you?
