On a lighter note we shall talk about jeni and voice last night. It was my first lesson after like a month off and I was freaking out that I had lost everything I gained. So I didn't wanna sing, basically. Especially since we had been working on Wicked. I knew I would suck. So we did warm-ups and we discovered I didn't lose anything range-wise, so that was good. So then we move on to singing.
Lauren: Ok hand over the Wicked book.
Jeni *shakes head no*
Lauren: Oh come on, we'll start slow! We'll start with Defying Gravity!
Jeni: *has panic attack*
Lauren: Oh come on! I was just joking, gimme the book. We'll start light. What do you want to start with, Popular?
Jeni: Too hard.
Lauren: Jeni, it is not too hard. Starting with Defying Gravity is too hard.
Jeni: I wanna go slower. Let's do Dancing Through Life...an octave down.
Lauren: You can't hit those notes.
Jeni: When I wake up in the morning I can!!!
Lauren: *glares at Jeni*
Jeni: Ok, ok, lemme think. I'm Not That Girl.
Lauren: Ok.......I don't remember how this one goes....ok let's go!
So that was ok, then we did Popular. Which didn't turn out too bad after all. Then we finished, because she knew if she made me do Wizard and I, which I had left off with before the break, then I would explode most likely. Then she proceeded to tell me that by the end of fall I will be able to do the entire Wicked book. Male and female. I can be like the one man show. I can have half my face painted green for Elphaba, and half my hair curled as Glinda. I can have a mask for every other character. I love my voice teacher. She's amazing. We have competitions about Broadway shows. I always go into the room and pet the Rent book, AKA Idina. So she rubs it in my face about how she got to see Idina in Rent 6 times. So I rub it in her face that I got to see Idina in Wicked 7 times. Fun times.
