GOD IS AWESOME!!!
Yesterday, Ethan and I went to church, and it was a wonderful day. I have to admit that I don't normally tithe. No excuses, I just don't. Stupidity, I guess. Well, after I stopped and got gas, and got us a bisuit, all I had left from the only $20 to my name was a dollar and some change. I thought "Lord, it ain't much, but it was yours to begin with, so I'll give it back to you. I know that if I need anything, you will provide it." Just as soon as I got ready to put the money in the offering plate, my dear sweet mama, reached into her purse and handed me $8. I said what is that for? She told me she wasn't quite sure, but that she knew I needed it. How awesome is that???
God has been blessing me all day!! (I said that like He doesn't bless me with every breath I take, but you know what I meant. At least I hope you do!!)
I found out that I have tentatively been accepted into the LPN program for January. The reason it is tentative is b/c I have to pass this nutrition class I am taking.
I also called the employment office to talk to them about WIA, like I was telling you guys about a while back. The woman on the other end told me I would have to have everything done by the end of October/beginning of November to be able to get funding for the spring semester. She told me I would have to attend an information meeting before I could really get things moving. And the next one available was Nov. 2.
"Great. I'm not going to be able to get my stuff done to get funding for the spring semester, b/c it will be too late." That was what I thought.
Then something told me to ask her if there was any way possible she could get me in a meeting ANY earlier. She kinda hesitated, and then said, "You would have to have ask me that when there are three case-workers standing here, wouldn't you?" She ended up letting me into the Sept 21 meeting!! Hoo-yah!!! That was all the Lord right there, whether you believe that or not. So now I have that ball rolling.
But if I can get everything done for that, they will pay for my daycare for both kids, books, tuition*, mileage, uniforms, the State test when I finish, plus a check for $200/wk. How cool is that?!?!?
*Even though I get a Pell Grant (Federal funding, for those not in the know,) the WIA program will still pay for my tuition. It will pay before the grant money pays, which means that I will get to keep every dime of my grant money, which is @ $1350.00 per semester. And then I will have a little bit of Pell left over from this semester to use in the summer, which means that I will have an extra check in the summer too!
I'm just so glad things are working out. I just needed a break, I guess. But the Lord knew what He was doing, and what I need. He's got a plan... no matter what I think my plan is.
god's blessings,
school
