Curtis has decided he really wants to get an idiot-proof point and shoot camera so he can take more photos of the kids and/or me/us without feeling overwhelmed and terrified. Panasonic Lumix. Seriously the easiest, most idiot-proof thing I've used, plus actually flexible enough for someone who knows what they're doing.

I have the Lumix wide-angle, too. Bonus, the LX3, I believe, shoots raw.

I just got myself a Lumix after doing a ton of research. I'm a big fan of it so far, and a friend who has one showed me her "idiot-setting" shots and they're gorgeous.

Yes, this. I love the Lumix. I'd always used a Sony Cybershot point and shoot in the past and it was okay, but the Lumix is just awesome.
