The new book she's working on sounds really interesting, sort of like she's taken a whole lot of elements from various BSLS and BSC books and re-written them a bit.
I'd rather read An American Tragedy/BSC. Mallory gets a factory job to support her family's endless reproduction and then gets beaned with an oar in a lake.
I cannot see her reading "The Elegance of the Hedgehog!" I'm about halfway through it and had to put it down as I thought it was too depressing. For some reason I pictured her reading lighter fare.

Well I suppose she has at least made it to the 90s with a CD player. but that inner 50s child still rules.
Still, snark aside, nice interview and glad to see she is a pretty normal person as well with a clear love for childhood/young adult learning.
