Are we what we read?

Earlier, I started wondering about the people in this community and how much we've been influenced by BSC books. More specifically, I was wondering if there would be some statistical correlation between the fact that we were all BSC readers at some point, and other demographic factors. 30's better than 29. I spent all of 29 dreading 30, and when I turned 30 it was like, "oh, this is nothing!"

And I'll be 32 in 2 weeks, FYI :)

Ha ha, I hope so! I turn 30 in August, and have some low levels of angst about it working... my mom tried to help, telling me "Oh, my 30s were great, I was in the best shape of my life and finally got to do a lot of the things I'd wanted to do before," and I was like "Yeah, but you were DONE having kids by then. I haven't even STARTED!"

I put "other" because I always put that when asked my gender. But I'm a pedagogical women's studies minor who agrees with Kate Bornstein that gender is a continuum and there isn't a set point of maleness and femaleness and nothing in between. /scholar
