Karen's babysitters?

I've been re-reading my LS books and I noticed that none of the baby-sitters ever baby-sit Karen like they do in the BSC books. I thought it was weird how someone is always home with her, although the BSC gets plenty of phone calls to babysit the family, and you never really hear about the Baby-sitters Club unless Kristy is leaving for a meeting,

In much later books, Karen and Andrew have a nanny for their month at the little house. I remember there's one book where Bart ends up babysitting them. But yeah, the BSC rarely shows up in Karen's books (and only when she's at the big house, it seems).

Do you remember which book Bart baby-sits them is? I don't think I have read that one!

I want to say #46? The title has something to do with Karen's Boy Babysitter or something like that.

A nanny for their month? So, in other words, some poor soul was only employed every other month?

I always got the sense that the BSC wasn't nearly as important to the rest of the town as it was to the members, hence it not being mentioned much.

I'll have to go back and re-read the regular BSC books and see if they ever mention how many times Kristy's mom and Watson need a babysitter. Especially since Watson became "Mr. Mom" at one point.

I can recall a few times where Claudia and, I think, Mary Ann babysat Karen in the BSC books, but it was overwhelmingly Kristy. That might explain it somewhat. I read only one lS book and I've blocked which one it was from my head, mainly because I hate Karen SO MUCH.

I know in the snark community the running gag is that Lisa and Seth like to have wild swinger parties, hence needing a sitter so often. But if I remember correctly, Karen and Andrew only get sitters when they're with Watson and Elizabeth. I can't think of a time off the top of my head that Lisa or Seth called the BSC for a sitter.

I think Seth did in Kristy and Mr. Mom? I don't remember.

The Little House is rarely mentioned anyway. Whenever Karen and Andrew are there, it's right before heading to the Big House. So Lisa dumps there and guns the engine, to make it back in time for the adult party she's throwing ;)

It is kind of ironic how in the LS books, Karen and Andrew are almost ALWAYS at the little house, but in the regular series, they seem to spend all their time at the big house.

Really? Even in the Little Sister books, it always seems like they're either at the Big House, or they're getting ready to go there. Is the Little House that boring? lol
