There's been an ongoing debate as to who the three girls on the cover of "Little Miss Stoneybrook...and Dawn" are. I firmly maintain that the girl in the blue dress is Charlotte Johanssen, and amazingly enough, I have two cover appearances of her to back me up. Way to go, Hodges.

( What exactly is Charlotte's ethnicity, anyway?? )

We get the "Charlotte is white" often the way we get the "Mallory is white". It's mentioned that they're white because they're friends with black people. But if that's Charlotte, she looks Latino.

On the cover of Stacey and the Mystery of Stoneybrook (which is, no doubt about it, Charlotte), her skin doesn't look that dark. Are there other girls mentioned in Stacey and the Cheerleaders? I haven't read the book in a while, but I'm assuming the cover isn't a direct scene from the book.

i really dont think that is her , cause on the other covers where we KNOW the girl is Charlotte (Stacey and the mystery of stoneybrook, Stacey's emergency, Teh truth about Stacey (Original and later version) AND Stacey and the Mystery Money, she looks NOTHING like that. She is pictured with straight hair... and the face is nothing alike

but even the bsc girls can look drastically different from cover to cover.

I'm pretty sure that it's claimed that Charlotte's the girl on the book cover of #70. I don't think Charlotte's the one wearing the blue dress on the book cover of 'Little Miss Stoneybrook...and Dawn' though. I think those three girls are the three winners. :)

I always thought the on the LMS cover had Margo in pink, Claire in blue, and Karen in green. Karen based on her resemblance to Karen on the original of Kristy's big day. The Charlotte argument does make sense, but the covers that I think Charlotte is on:
Truth about Stacey
Goodbye Stacey goodbye
Welcome back Stacey
Stacey and the mystery of Stoneybrook
Stacey's emergency
Charlotte looks completely different on all of them. (But Hodges isn't known for his consistency.)
Looking at LMS now, perhaps she is Charlotte. Her head is down, which Charlotte being shy would do, and the fact that her head is down would put her face in the shade which could make her skin look darker.
