Author's note - This story does feature an OC that I created awhile back while thinking of doing a BSC Senior Year project. Be warned.

Kristy Thomas had never been at a loss for words in her entire life. When asked for an opinion, she was always there to give one. She was a stick of dynamite in a Krushers baseball cap.

But in junior year of high school, she got stumped. For the first time in her entire life, she found herself facing something that she had no opinion on. Something that she had no great ideas to fix.

She couldn't go to Claudia or Stacey for their opinions. They'd stopped speaking to her after she'd busted in on them with Pete Black at a party the previous year. They'd stopped speaking to her after her big mouth let a few unkind words escape.

She couldn't go to Mary Anne. Her former best friend had transferred schools after her relationship with Logan Bruno hit an all time low. She could recall it like yesterday, but while she could recall it, she couldn't have predicted that when Mary Anne left, there friendship would go away as well.

She couldn't go to Shannon. Shannon was always too busy lately with her perfect boyfriend and her perfect life. While they hadn't had a falling out, they'd grown apart. Life had changed so much since eighth grade.

So she had to sit in her room, staring at the old poster of Venus and Serena Williams that Watson had gotten her for her fourteenth birthday. It looked nearly brand new, except for the dust that had collected on the surface over the past two years. She wished that poster could speak, give her advice. Yet, despite her best efforts, she couldn't get the two tennis stars to do anything other than stand their posing with their tennis rackets.

It was absolutely hopeless.

After an hour of staring at the walls, she decided she had to take action. She ripped a piece of college ruled paper from her spiral bound notebook and a pen from her desk. She laid on her stomach and began to write, not thinking. She wanted to think back to how this happened. She wanted to think back to why Maria Weston had kissed her after softball practice.

After nearly an hour of writing on that blank sheet of paper, she tried to read her writing. The short hand style she'd written in for years was now confusing to her. It made no sense to the tiny brunette. Just as the tingling in her lips made no sense after Maria kissed her and left the locker room, apologizing. It wasn't like in that stupid song that Karen was obsessed with. She wasn't wearing cherry chapstick.

But if Kristy was honest with herself, she'd admit that while Maria hadn't been wearing cherry chapstick, she'd kissed a girl and she liked it.
