I just couldn't help it. Jessi said that in almost every single one of her books. At least it felt like that.

Oh, is it a Jessi-specific phrase? I do remember reading it a lot, usually preceding a "let me tell you about all the people in this opening scene and allude to the Baby-Sitters Club, more about that later!!!"

I love that you used it for something that's rather serious, it felt like quite a shift from how the books use it! (in a good way)

I don't know if its Jessi-specific. I just remember her saying it far more than the others. Kristy on occasion will say it, but mostly the girls are just saying that they'll tell us about the club later.

To which I always reply: You don't have to. If you choose to, I'm not listening.

I love when the ghostwriter gets all ~creative with it. Like, I think there's one where Claudia's talking about the charm bracelet she's wearing, and she's all "hmmm, if I had a charm to represent each of my friends, what would that charm be..."
