A smattering of students slumped at desks around an empty classroom, grim looks on their faces. "There has to be some way to raise the money," Rick Chow complained. "We worked so hard to get to the regional finals. They can’t just not let us go to Boston to compete!"
"We could have a fundraiser," Stacey said thoughtfully.
"We could do a bake sale or a car wash or something," Jason Fox suggested.
"What about a fashion show?" Stacey asked.
Silence filled the room as the rest of the Mathletes stared at her blankly.
"Okaaaaaay… maybe not a fashion show."
