Thank You 2008, Wishes for 2009
Happy NewS Year!!!
Exactly the same style & font I used last year XDDD Amazing I've kept this journal for this long 'cuz I tend to switch. This is like my 3rd or 4th I think? The one before this is xanga and is still up. The one before that I'd rather keep to myself XDDDDD
Anyway, as I'm trying to catch up with fandom & my flist the past hour, everyone has done all their New Year-related posts. Mine is pretty much the same [with most of my friends and with my post last year]. Then I thought, has nothing changed? Nothing much happened this year? Uso.. so I kinda browsed back this LJ & checked my pics in Multiply too..
Some my highlights for 2008, what "NEW Stuff" happened...in no particular order XD
* NEWS had their first Tokyo Dome con - NEWS-wives watched the DVD together ^^v, Yamapi's 1st movie (& 1st An An shoot. how can i forget? i nearly almost literally died LOL), NEWS almost had one release per month to kill our savings accounts! There's the very pretty Winter Party Diamond con...and more. I'm sure Camz would do a waaay better job in recaping NEWS stuff than me.
* Got new old phones, fufu & yusuke retired, replaced by hiro & rayne... they're not over the top phones but they're clam shells, one's japanese & i love them ^^
* I like my hair more this year LOL *babaw* thanks Ann for bringing me to HAIR NEWS. I remember you just came from shift then, no sleep & you still had another shift that night.
* It was our first time too to organize a party for Yamapi & Yamachan ^^ then there were A LOT of other parties I got to go to which needless to say, were so much fun ^_^
* Been in the hospital twice. and still not too fond of it. Not me though. My cousin had dengue and my Dad had an operation to have the lump between his head & neck removed. My cousin got well and so did my Dad's operation =)
* Nothing new though but there were a lot of changes at work. Since late 2007 though I started on the night shift and then this year, we had a change of leadership. I had a change of priorities in my task list, and I also got more and more out of what I am doing.
* Went to different Festivals & Conventions, even dressed up for some of it. They were all fun. First time in a butler cafe too XDDDDD I even went to Eiga-Sai alone & still enjoyed it of course.
* Met & gained more friends ^_^
* There were pleasant surprises during my birthday. As I said (in my Multiply bday post) I'm not one who proudly broadcasts my birthday so that everyone could greet me, I dunno why. And I usually dunno how to celebrate my birthday either. I guess I grew out of it after I graduated from childrens parties? There were not-so-good memories tied up with my birthday before. But for the past few years it's been slowly changing and for 2008, I really am thankful for my family & friends who went out of their way for the simple me. I appreciate a lot everything that was done for me. From presents,surprises to even simple greetings - in person, through email or SMS. It really was a happy birthday :)
* I also finally got my own Credit Card. Is that a good thing? I wouldn't wanna know myself how much has been charged for just the half a year of its age. Still, it's very convenient, couldn't have come at a better time.
* I got to go with friends to Thailand & Taiwan. Seen lots of temples, rode an elephant, watch Hanadan F in the big screen... Climbed up to the roof-deck of the world's tallest building, fangirl of course! Shopped to death, walked a thousand miles...
* Which brings me to summing up I've seen in person Wu Chun & Calvin Chen of Fahrenheit, Arashi (in concert even, twice), and Ambrose Hsu. (If I'll count local celebrities, technically they're known in Asia too, if you watch TARA, it's Marc x Rovilson XDDD complete with pic LOL)
So I wanna say thank you to everyone who's been a part of my life in one way or another (family, long-time friendz, online friends, fandom, everyone - everything) for all these memories. 2008 was mostly fun with all of you and the not-so-much fun part was bearable because of you.
For 2009, I wish I could...
* Save up more
* Be a better friend (like get to meet up more with my long-time friends)
* Lose weight/trim my tummy (1st I need to find a way to keep myself from getting hungry LOL)
* Organize my room, my stuff (my CDs, books, magazines - I think I need a new room for them LOL kidding)
* Find a better job
* Learn more Japanese (& Chinese too)
* Go back to Wako (haha, nakaka-adik)
* Have a new lappie (still preferring a Toshiba XD)
* Spend lesser time online to be able to do more things
* Travel more
* and in connection, of course, my ultimate wish for now... you know it already if you know me well ^^;
