Hey guys. Well, a few entries back i ended saying that i may be chosen to be featured in a newsletter based on what i do at work. Anyways, the newsletter came in yesterday morning, and im in there lol. This is how everything was set up:

1.) 1 employee from each district was chosen (there are 4 districts). My district (district 2) covers all of NY, PA, and part of Ohio.

2.) There had to be something special that you do to have you considered.

Anyways, heres the article. I would scan it and put it in here, but since its a 1.7MB file, im just putting my section in here, all typed out, so it doesnt mess up your email. But def read and enjoy.

Creating Raving Fans
----------------------------------
"Tom Wujek, a Camping Sales Associate at the Tonawanda, NY store always greets customers with an infectious smile that shows genuine interest in what they will be doing. Tom treats all customers the same, whether they are buying a sleeping bag strap or being fully outfitted for a camping trip. He is very meticulous and fully explains the features and benefits of the products without talking down to the customer. He goes even further by providing any personal experience he's had with the product. Tom offers suggestions during the sale of add-on products that will increase the product life of an item, provide additional benefits, and/or compliment the primary purchase. Tom doesn't just walk away after the sale. Most times he walks the customer over to the ATV register and personally checks the customer out instead of sending the customer to the front registers. Tom then assists customers to the front of the store, and if needed, helps them load the purchase into their vehicle, smiles, and thanks the customers for their business. Tom offers customers the "total package" in terms of customer service from start to finish. Tom waited on a customer one day and I'm not sure Tom knew who she was, but she was impressed enough to tell her husband that Tom provided the "Best Customer Service she had ever experienced!" Turns out she was the wife of our Store Manager.

Aww...im proud that what i do means something to the store. I really dont consider myself to do anything super special really. Im just doing what i do best, and ill do what i can the best i can. Seriously, there are so many good people in the store, and to be chosen out of everyone in our store and district really means a lot, especially for being a newer person in the company.

Im proud that i get to be part of a great organization, and i think that part of it also comes from when i helped build the store 5 months ago. Its like seeing nothing become something really gives me a ton of pride. I can also say that the people that hired me believed in me, so im gonna take the ball and run with it.

I guess i have.

And will continue to do so.
