some things! in no particular order.
1. boyfriend things are going swimmingly. six months on thursday; ridiculous! longest ever, for me. the real question now is: what's next? these are the questions, and I cannot answer them.
2. saw inception, thought it was awesome; thought more about it, thought it was *even more awesome*. of course, nothing I thought about was all that different from what others have thought about it, but still, it was a pretty neat movie. and how about that joe gordon-levitt? and tom hardy? yes. also, ellen page is cute as a button.
3. break from theater has been just what the doctor ordered. rehearsals for the next show don't start until mid-september, by which I will be totally ready for that insanity to start up again, but for now I am just *basking* in my free time. which is not really "free" anymore, what with the boyfriend and all. relationships = time + work.
4. project runway season 8! man, that's just crazy talk. I remember when it was season 2 and missi and I laughed our damn fool heads off and marveled at the fact that santino was *writing slash while on the show*. guess where that bitch is now? going cross-country with austin scarlett, dressing up random chicks. weird. anyway, season 8: I love most of the gaylings (christopher and aj <3!). I hate casanova and stupid italian jason. kind of think peach is awesome, but waiting to see more from all of them. there are so many! I always forget that at the beginning of a season there are oodles and oodles of people we won't remember in six weeks.
5. work continuing to drive me crazy. actively looking for another job, preferably at the same company, but stupidly busy doing the work of three people in the meantime. sucks that I'm not really qualified to do what I want to do. thinking about asking my QA engineer friends to put in a good word for me, just to get me out of the marginal hell that is my daily work life. told boss point-blank that I'm unfireable, under the conditions, and instead of firing me to prove a point, she just agreed. value: proved. now, hoping the moolah follows the kick-ass work I've been doing for the past year and change. reviews coming up!
6. climbing is awesome. tonight: a 5.11a, most of a 5.? (yes, sometimes they leave routes unrated; E says she thinks it was on the 5.10d/5.11a border), a couple of really weird 5.10c's, and a long, leaning-back 5.10a that was way arms-ier than it should have been.
