So, um. I'll just go stand in *that* corner of the sandbox, shall I?

undreamt of in my philosophy

Yeah, just... I seem to have had the *opposite* reaction to tonight's Supernatural that everyone else had. Almost to the point of making me wonder if we all watched the same show. I've never been that alone in my stance before. It's... different.

While I had the opposite opinion of you, that does not mean you have to be a loner. *huggles* Everyone has their own opinion. *hugs more*

Hrm. I thought the kids were fugly, does that get me anywhere? And, yeah, I see your point with the anvils a-rainin' down, but... Dean angsting will get me every time, I think is what it comes down to. But we can all play in the sandbox together still, I think.

Yeah, I think it's all a question of what pushes your buttons. Angst... doesn't so much do it for me. ("so why the hell are you in this fandom?", you may wonder -- well, that explains why I mostly write RPS)

I don't think I'm going to get, like, *exiled* or anything. I like people here, I think they (for the most part) like me, and I don't think anyone's going to stir up drama about this. I just... reading some of the episode reactions, I was wondering if we were even watching the same SHOW. How can people have such different reactions? It really does take all kinds, doesn't it?

It really does. Hey, people still like SV. Have you seen it lately? I just...no. And yet...I still watch. *fails at life*

I never got into SV, fortunately. I would have had to spork my eyes out at some point three or four seasons ago, I think :D ...but that Welling kid is HOT.

And oh gosh, is it my fault you feel like that? cause looking at the comments I'm the only one you're really talking to about this. Well, on LJ. IM SORRY! *hides*

No! It's not you. It's reading everyone's reactions and going "...did they see the same show? How can we see such different things?"

It's. Well, it's different, that's all. ::loves on fandom::

I felt like that when I had a *horribly* negative reaction to Route 666. Like, I refused to download it for a while because I hated that episode. And I know a lot of other people did too, but the initial reaction on my flist was quite positive! There were people declaring that their new favorite episode, and "wow the truck was so awesome and that back story wow my heart broke and and and...!" and I just kinda stared, like.... WHAT?

So, I get it :)

Something that occurred to e: I watched Route 666 with someone else, for the first time with Supernatural. And it was her first time seeing the show. And she is a very critical, analytical, intellectually minded person (fangirly to a certain extent, but generally over things with objective merit. Like Firefly, or The X-Files (up to a point)) so naturally I found myself falling into that mindset too. And, OW. Don't do that with Supernatural >.< I really feel like I would have enjoyed that episode much more without her there. As it was, I was so embarassed for the cheese factor of my show ( ... )

I don't see why you should, honey. It's your honest reaction, and you're not wrong for having it. You made valid points as to why you didn't like it, so I don't see what the big deal is.

*snug* I loved the episode, but I can see your point of view. I'ma stand in that corner with you, okay?

It's just. Everybody's flailing with love and I'm only getting little waves of it from the snark! I feel kind of left out, you know?

*smish* I know, baby. But what can you do, you know? At least we got a Monorail reference. <3

We did! I swear I turned to E, clutched her arm and said "and look how it put them on the map!" I think this show needs more Simpsons references.

I've discovered I lack any objectivity whatsoever when it comes to this show, but I own that :D

Ahahahaha. That's a good point -- this show does things to my objectivity that could be considered criminal if my objectivity were a person.
