Thanksgiving has already come and gone, and now we're staring down the end of the month and the arrival of *gasp* December. Holy Shopping-Madness!
This year Mike and I had a small Thanksgiving at our house. It went off without a hitch (except that the turkey, after days and days of thawing, was still a bit frozen in the wing area), and no one died of any kind of poisoning so we're considering it an overall success. I haven't eaten that much for Thanksgiving in my entire life! When I stood up I thought I was going to actually explode. It was nice to be at home for it, too. By 4:00 my legs were giving out and my back was on fire so I was glad to have my couch to plop down on and recover.
Tonight we're having hot open faced turkey sandwiches and all of the leftovers. They're definatley the best part of the whole deal.
Thank you to Mom, Jody and Nina for coming over and helping me out (and doing quite a bit more than I'd anticipated). And thank you to Mike and Lisa for having us on Wednesday for dinner with the family. It was wonderful!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday!
Love,
Us
