Memories to a dragon are as important as gold. Inside the barn where she was kept in the back of the Manor, her eyes peered to the Mardis Gras beads that she had given Eddie when he woke up from his death. She witnessed her friend being killed by his mate but she never acted on it since she was told that whatever happened to him not to seek revenge. She listened out of respect for her friend's wishes. As much as she wanted to rip Ophelia apart, she knew that it wouldn't have brought Eddie back.
Now that Eddie and Ophelia both were gone from this terrible place, she felt alone despite the many friends she has gained. Eddie tamed her. He helped her to understand that not all people are bad. Like her, they are only doing what they need to do to survive. With the gaining knowledge of civilization, instincts are lost. Toothless was still a dragon after all and as all good dragons should, they protect their homes.
Often brushed aside as a dumb animal, she thought the same with some people that lived there. They fight unnecessarily when food is abundant and shelter has more than enough room for them all. Perhaps there was more to being human than just space. Generally solitary, her breed never really worked much with other clans. Able to fly at a young age, she looked up at the sky and watched as the birds passed by the entrance of her barn. The low light of the lantern cast long dancing shadows on the wall.
She put her head down and gave a deep sigh. Of all the many things that has happened in her young life, none made a deep an impact as being grounded and unable to fly but living among humans that would normally kill her for her hide to use as armor. She was very aware that there are people here that would kill each other but being ignored was certainly a welcome change considering that her world wasn't as forgiving.
With Dende's return to the Manor, she decided to give him time to regain his bearings. She could sense his uneasiness and she didn't want to frighten the young one.
