Oops! Has it been 21 weeks already?
So, we're more than half done with our pregnancy. I haven't been nearly as sentimental as I thought I would be, but it's probably because our pregnancy has been completely uneventful. Nothing has changed...I've had no morning sickness, no appetite changes (well, that's not true...I've actually been eating less, if you can believe that), and other than some minor mood swings, things have moved along swimmingly.
Our ultrasound was almost a week ago. It was fairly uncomfortable, because you have to have a full bladder before going in. My ultrasound tech was also pregnant (she is due sometime next week, actually), and I thought she'd go easy on the poking around, but she wasn't. The baby was sleeping, I guess, because the baby stayed curled up, face down, even when she tried to jiggle my belly to get the baby to move. =)
It's a boy, by the way. Oliver Seth! A girl from one of the message boards I post on made this graphic for me, and it's freakin' adorable:
She added the frog, because the bedding we've chosen for the nursery is frog themed. We've also been promised a crib (which is a HUGE load off, because cribs are SO stinkin' expensive!!). We also have an old dresser that was Levi's mom's when she was a little girl. We'll probably repaint it to match the nursery, since it won't match the natural wood crib (the dresser is painted white right now). I say "we", but what I really mean is "Levi" will repaint it. =)
I'm hoping the second half of the pregnancy will be more exciting that the first half. As of now, I haven't really felt any movement. There have been some bubbles here and there, but most of the time it feels like gas. Half the time, I end up pooting after feeling it, so I'm guessing it's mostly just gas. =) Hey, no one said pregnancy was glamorous, did they? lol
It's totally worth it, though.
