I will be holding my ever first cooking and baking demonstration class by invitation from The Baking Loft @ Soho2 Central!
My inaugural cooking class demo is titled "A White Plate", which will be held on 19th April 2014 Saturday from 1 to 4 pm.
Cost of attending the demo is at $100. Part of the proceeds will go to the Moral Home For The Aged Sick, an old folks home I dearly support!
A White Plate, features a simple menu which I will be whipping up during the demonstration to share with you a simple 4-course meal anyone can easily come up with in the comfort of their home. The session will involve me sharing the recipes for the dishes, hands-on preparation, discussion and of course, some wonderful food tasting on that day!
I will be sharing how to whip up:
1) Watermelon with Feta and Toasted Pine Nuts Salad
2) Prawn "Wanton Skin" Ravioli With Basil Butter
3) Riesling Chicken Stew
4) Choux Pastry With Durian Purée
The concept of "A White Plate" is inspired by the idea that everything starts from a clean slate. How we choose to add colours and flavours our lives really depends on what you put on it.
Moreover, most of my dishes prepared at home are served on white plates
This is my First ever cooking class and it is also partly in aid of a charitable cause.
