Spencer Reid was exhausted, but the sight of his one and only cardigan with him here in the woods covered in dirt and blood bothered him too much to let it go for the night. He took it and the basin that he used to wash clothes in down to the river and scrubbed it as clean as he could get it with water alone. After wringing it out, he emptied the basin and trudged back into the barracks. He planned to leave the sweater over his open window sill and hoped that it would be dry by morning.
The journey to rescue Will had been long, hard and exhausting, but ultimately fulfilling as they had managed to find the boy. Surprisingly he hadn't seemed that frightened, though he was very quiet on the journey home. He knew Will was internalizing and would need to talk about it soon, but now was not the time.
Although now Spencer wondered if he himself should talk to anyone. That always seemed to be an unwelcome requirement after hard cases. Usually it was mandated by Strauss though, and fortunately Strauss was nowhere near here. Perhaps it would be easier for him to go on not talking about it then. It would certainly be much more comfortable for him.
Besides, tomorrow he would start the official planning for the school he hoped to open. That would certainly require most of his attention.
[OOC - Decided to just do my own post. Any and everyone is welcome to talk to him, but I'm specifically looking at youuuu Hotch and JJ. ;)]
