Should the castle's residents be wandering as evening falls through the windows, they might hear the soft strains of music coming from down a hall, around a corner, behind a closed door. Regardless of where they are, or how far they are from the source of the sound, it will lead them all to the same place: a veranda high up on the castle's southern side. The sun sets in a net of gold and purple to right; on the left, the landscape is already melting into vague shapes painted in blue.

The veranda itself should be blinding, but it's not. It's a polished bronze color, looking almost like a single piece of metal fashioned into floor, pillars and roof, with delicate vines of copper flowering from its edge to serve as a railing. In the middle of it, a long table stands heavy with various drinks and finger foods. Several covered dishes, if their tops should be removed, will reveal whatever food that person wants most in that moment. Even if it's Skittles or Doritos - the letters on the packaging might be slightly out of order, but otherwise, they're identical to the real thing.

Clockwork servants stand along the stone wall, next to each door that leads outside, holding them open for guests and visitors from the forest alike. Tempest has decided to get to know some of her new tenants a little better.
