[Open, multiples welcome] All my life a kind of waiting, never sure why I was waiting

[OOC: Backdated between the siege and the return of missing people.]

Normally with a siege like what the barracks just had, Adric would be right out there with everyone, trying to figure out a solution. However, he would also normally be led by the Doctor, and there's more than enough people out there to deal with the situation better than he himself could. He's therefore mostly spent the days of the siege recovering from his injury and hanging back. The only thing left of the wound now is a pale scar across his stomach, and even that will be gone by tomorrow.

Now that the coast is clear, he's snuck out of the barracks holding his torn, bloodied shirt and headed to the stream to make an attempt at washing off the blood. It needs to be mended too, but even if he found needle and thread, he can't sew. He could just throw it away and get a new one, but his clothes are everything he has from back home, so he'd like to hold onto them.

He's still waiting for the sound of the TARDIS landing, for the Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan to arrive and take him away, on to some new place of wonder and excitement. But a part of him is starting to think he's not coming. That he's stuck here, and that he has to start getting used to it. For now, all he's doing towards that end is taking off his boots and socks and leaving them among the flowers, before stepping into the stream and bending down to soak his shirt.
