Cissie's been warned not to leave the barracks by herself, but frankly, she's restless and has never been all that good at listening to vague warnings. ...Or specific warnings, for that matter. She used to throw herself at dangerous things all the time, but that was a long time ago.

One could argue that she's been taking a lot of unnecessary risks since she started college, and maybe even before that, but that's neither here nor there. It certainly doesn't have any effect on her life as it right now, except that more and more these days she wishes she'd had her archery gear with her when the Woods snatched her up.

And the more she finds herself thinking that way, the more restless and uncomfortable she gets. She hasn't felt this in years. Not since those first months after she quit Young Justice and hid her Arrowette gear in the back of her closet, and every cry for help, every emergency or crisis left her feeling nothing so much as useless. She thought she was past all of that, but now it's all back again and on top of that, Tim is here too.

She may as well accept it: she's never going to be able to put her past behind her.

In any case, she can't do anything about these things, but if she has to stay in the barracks for another minute, she'll lose her mind. So she slips out; she's not going far. Just for a walk. She turns right and decides she'll just... follow the wall around back to the entrance. How dangerous can that be?
