Despite her best attempts to appear well adjusted and fine with everything, Cassie's just about had enough with playing Little House on the Prairie. Even if she's not ever inclined to admit such things, she's lonely and downright miserable. She misses showering, she misses deodorant and perfume. She misses eyeliner, and Chinese food. She misses a lot of things, but the thing that she misses the most is Nick.

He's an idiot, and she knows that, but he's as close as she has to family these days. And all things considered, he's like her partner in crime, even with that stupid harpy getting in the way.

She's drawn tons of pictures of him, despite the lack of visions. Her sketchbook is almost full now, only a few weeks after arriving. She's drawn sketch after sketch of Nick, doing the best she can to keep every last detail as accurate as possible. Unlike some of the other people here with people from home, she's got no one.

She's sitting in front of the library early in the afternoon, a large handful of Nick sketches sprawled out around her, being weighed down by rocks. She's nibbling on the ends of one of her markers as she gets lost in thought, and flips through her sketchbook to earlier images that relate to Kira and the briefcase.

She wonders what Nick and Kira are doing back in Hong Kong without her, and if they're even still alive or not. With a sigh, she tosses her sketchbook to the side and falls back to lay on the ground. She really needs to find something else to focus on, other than trying to keep someone's every feature fresh in her memory.
