Naoto wasn't surprised that only two people had spoken to her through the communicator, but at least one seemed to agree with her. It seemed like everyone had heard something, but no one actually knew anything. She'd intended to try to get a group together, but if no one had taken enough initiative to search for a way out before, she'd rather not be bogged down. They clearly didn't care about their goal. Even if Mogget was wrong, Naoto had no choice but to follow every lead she had. It was in her nature: gather information by any means necessary, follow it for as long as possible, and if it lead to nothing, start from scratch. In truth, Naoto had expected something more helpful than what Mogget provided, but she'd managed success on less. While she knew that many humans (and presumably cats) could be deceitful, but it wasn't as if she had many options.

Naoto didn't know much about the fae, but from what the others said, they didn't sound like good news. Luckily, she knew how to defend herself, and if malicious fae couldn't be defeated by a sword, she'd be in just as much trouble whether she ventured into the woods or remained in her cabin until, as Heine said, 'something happened.'

She readied herself as well as she could before leaving the haven and entering the supposedly endless forest. Even if she became lost in the wood, as she'd been told was possible, she could use the communicator/compass to find her way back. Not counting recent exceptions, Naoto had worked alone for as long as she remembered. In theory, this should be her element.
