Alas, he was so very wrong.
On top of his boredom, he's only just realized that his Encantus is home. This equals one bored, slightly panicked Dave.
He wanders past Will in a bit of a daze, but stops dead in his tracks only a few feet away. Then, very slowly, he turns back around to face the young boy. "You're-"
Me. Fourth grade me.
"No way."

And the recent uprising of monster attacks hasn't gone unnoticed by her. She's been digging through the buildings again, trying to find weapons of any kind, and coming up with very little. After a sudden crash, she exits the last building she's chosen to examine, covered in dirt and dust and coughing. As she wraps the cloak she filched from the Gala around herself, she stops short at the sight of the boy.
"Hi," she says without a trace of the sudden bit of awkwardness she feels in her tone. There's probably something vaguely embarrassing about the village doctor staggering out of a building after very nearly causing the whole thing to collapse on her head. She should know better than that.

She doesn't even think how condescending that might be- she's accustomed to the few children that ran about in the DHARMA camp, always finding dangerous places to play and her having to shoo them off with a laugh. One day it might occur to her that this isn't that place anymore. It had central heat and air, for one thing.

And he hoped that was all it was. But that didn't explain any of the strange feelings he'd been having. Or that sense of urgency that never really left.
