Jack felt like he was waking up from falling off of a large building and dying. He was aching, which he supposed was something left over from is recent death that he remembered. He shifted to his elbows and took several moments before got to his legs. He checked himself, patting his body down. There was no sign of injury, and there wasn't even a ( Read more... )

Spike was walking around outside the Barracks, mostly because he could. He hated being trapped here, away from where he needed to be, and he hated being so surrounded by magical fairies. But he liked walking in the sunshine. It was almost like being human.

When he heard someone shouting, he switched directions and started walking towards him. He hoped it was someone in danger or something. He could use a fight. But with his luck, it'd probably be someone new to the Wood who'd want all sorts of information and help.

Either way, he'd go.

"Hello?" he called back.

A voice -- Jack paused for a moment, caught the direction it was coming from, and moved towards it. It was the only smart thing to do in his head, of course.

"Hello," he shouted. Jack certainly was among the thought of being new and needing help. Well, the sort of help he really needed was his location. He wasn't much for actually needing much beyond where he was.

Great, he sounded more lost than scared. Oh well, being good meant helping even when it wasn't fun. He heads towards the voice, stopping when he comes in sight of an unfamiliar man.

"You the one who's been shouting?"

Jack's first instinct was to quirk an eyebrow at the familiar face and he wanted to march over and punch him. He knew he would feel better hitting someone (anyone), but John was a good choice. And this face sure matched John's. But he stopped himself from doing it, be logical first and aggressive later.

"John?" he looked less than amused.

Spike wouldn't have minded the punching. He'd have punched back. As it was, he glanced behind him to see if someone was there. But he was alone. He gave the bloke a confused look.

"What?"

"...Or not?" he asked. Jack couldn't tell for sure, but the guy sounded like John. Looked just like him, too. "Weird. You look like someone I know." Jack had known weirder things to happen, already well aware of universes and alternate timelines. It all was very confusing.

"Nevermind. What is this place?"

"Well, you don't look like anyone I know, mate." Spike shrugs. "Name's Spike. This is... well, I'm not really sure, and I've been here months. It's some sort of magic fairy woods that kidnaps people."

"Alright then, Spike. Does this place have a name or is that it?" Jack asked. He didn't sound rude, though he easily could have, simply confused and a bit frustrated with the entire situation. "Nice to meet you."
