Frustrated wasn't even the most accurate word that Faith could use in her current situation, because the situation wasn't getting better. The woods just kept taking and killing - or whatever - people; like some reject Barbie dolls that the neighbor kids were done playing with. Angel was busy wrapped up in whatever was going on with Cordelia and Cordelia was either busy playing 'my life was shittier/more awesome' than yours or she was stocking up insults to toss Faith's direction, because she didn't have anything else to do.
People were getting crazy aliens in them, carnivals were showing up, animals and spiders were just - the normal shit - in this place and now there was some blonde girl trying to get laid over the damn video thing.
Regardless of actually caring where she was going, she just picked up her jacket and walked out of the cabin.
The worst part was that she knew if she even got out of these freakshow woods, she'd end up in the same coma she was in before, teetering on the edge of giving up on it all. Even if she survived the coma... or the beating inside the coma, she'd what - save the day and be heralded as a hero? Even if whatever Spike and Buffy had said was true, it was still going to be short lived. Prison sentences don't get any shorter when you jump out the window and run.
Which at the moment, felt like a really good thing to choose right now.
Flat out at a sprint she could go for a few miles before her chest would start to ache from the expansion of her lungs. A few hundred yards after that and her legs had a burn to them, all the muscles in her body trying to be effective and just getting tired of her trying too hard. Stopping, she swallowed hard, pressing her hand to a nearby tree. If she had it in her, she could've kept going, but it seemed ridiculous at this point. Aside from the fact that it felt good to just get everything going.
Of course, now she had to walk back.
