It was only a minor setback.

Certainly, going from fighting enemy soldiers in a battlefield to waking up alone in a forest was no minor thing, but Celice simply couldn't afford to let it delay him. There was just too much at stake. Prince Leaf, his cousin, needed their help and he wasn't about to abandon him.

Of course, first he had to find the rest of the army, and fast. He knew they could take care of themselves, but they had a difficult battle awaiting them and he couldn't abandon them either. A good leader never abandoned his men, no matter what. His father had stayed with his soldiers until the very end. Celice couldn't hope to be even half the man he'd been if he was already getting separated from his troops for no good reason.

But that just meant he had to keep trying, had to work twice as hard to make up for his mistakes. He had duties he could no longer run away from.

If he recalled correctly, the map of the area had a forest near Alster. He couldn't be entirely sure this was that particular forest, especially as he had no idea how he'd even ended up inside it, but it was the only lead he had.

One hand never straying from the sword at his side, he picked a direction and ran. He didn't dare call out as he did so, in case any of King Blume's soldiers were nearby. And if Celice was really lucky, maybe he wouldn't run into any of them until he found the others again.
