Buffy Summers had had enough of the library and it's lack of answers. She had been through every book possible, and they all ended the same way -- they didn't. All the endings were gone, ripped out and scattered across the floor. It was starting to look like Buffy's life at the moment -- yanked from it just before the grand finale. She wasn't sure if it was the choice she was about to make -- or as far as Spike was concerned she had already made -- or the fact that something didn't want her to fight the final battle, but either way -- Buffy was stuck in the magical woods of no answers, and she wasn't all that happy with it.
So she got out of the library. Went walking through the woods for a bit, and even patrolled the barracks a little, looking for something that might be worth fighting. It wasn't that she was itching for a fight, exactly, but she wanted to feel like she was doing something, not just sitting on her butt and being useless. She was the Slayer, after all. If she's not fighting back when she's stuck in a situation like this, then she's doing it wrong.
When that turned up fruitless, she made her way back down to the stream to soak her feet. She was starting to get used to the whole no shoes thing, and while it wasn't comfortable, at least it didn't hurt as much. She sat down on the edge of the bank with one of the books she had taken from the library, flipping straight through to the end, and staring at the binding where the pages had been removed and sighing. "Okay. What do you mean?"
Because honestly, she was a little stumped.
[Feel free to catch her in either of those locations. She is free to be poked.]
