Better late than never? This should have been up yesterday.
Anyway, I've created a general character mix with 1-3 songs each for most of the main characters. I have pretty eclectic tastes, and I focused on lyrics that seemed to fit the characters, so there is a pretty wide range of music genres here.

Sinclair is a man with a destiny. He begins the series as a man who knows he has a purpose, but who hasn't figured it out yet. By his last appearance, though, he has discovered the path that he must walk.
Brad Paisley- Find Yourself

In some far off place,

To rethink some things.
You start to sense
That slowly you’re becoming someone else
And then you find yourself.
Although Sinclair's journey on the series is brief, what we do see is a man who is searching for something he can't quite put his finger on. The Sinclair we see in War Without End is calmer and much more comfortable in himself.
John Sheridan
Lady Antebellum- Ready to Love Again

No longer am I afraid of the fall down

Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready to love again
John's loss of his wife, Anna, is one of the first things we learn about his character, and it effects much of who he is. In the second season we watch as he is able to let her go and begins to fall in love again.

John is a man who stands up for what is right, no matter how difficult that might be. He can make the tough decisions that others can't make. And even through everything he goes through, he still stands firm in his convictions.
Delenn
Jennifer Paige- Beautiful

Delenn has to say goodbye to John twice: once when he dies on Za'ha'dum, and then when he leaves for the final time.

The greatest gift of all
One of Delenn's greatest strengths is that she brings people together. She always seems to know what to say, how to phrase things, to get people to understand as much as they need to. She is the one who first understands that all the various species have to come together if they hope to defeat the shadows.

G'Kar is one of the characters who changes the most over the course of the series. He starts out as a man who lets his hatred of the Centauri consume him and ends up as a hero, writer, and even religious figure.

G'Kar goes through more suffering than most. He watches his world bombed and conquered. He watches his people die. And then he himself is captured and tortured. And yet he doesn't break. He comes out of it stronger than ever.
Londo Mollari
Social Distortion- I was Wrong
And they tried to warn me
Of my evil ways
But I wouldn't hear what they had to say
I was wrong
Self destruction's got me again
I was wrong
I realize now that I was wrong
Londo goes through as much change as G'Kar does. He starts out as a politician with more bluster than actual threat who longs for past glory. He then makes some really bad decisions and gets in way over his head.
Linkin Park- What I’ve Done
I'll face myself
To cross out what i’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what i’ve done
One of the most powerful scenes in the series is the scene where Londo, nearly dying, finally expresses remorse for all that he did and all the destruction he caused. His simple "I'm sorry" to G'Kar says a lot about the changed man he has become.
Susan Ivanova
Pat Benetar- Invinvible
This bloody road remains a mystery.
This sudden darkness fills the air.
What are we waiting for?
Won't anybody help us?
What are we waiting for?
We can't afford to be innocent
stand up and face the enemy.
It's a do or die situation - we will be invincible.
Susan is a soldier. She is brave to a fault (even in situations where others would back off). You don't want to mess with Susan Ivanova in battle.
Avril Lavigne- Slipped Away
I didn't get around to kiss you
Goodbye on the hand
I wish that I could see you again
I know that I can't
Sharing yourself with someone
Susan has lost two people that she may or may not have loved: Talia and Marcus. Her relationship with Talia had only just begun, and she had never even taken the first step with Marcus. It is Marcus' death that finally throws her over the edge and leads to her leaving Babylon 5.

Marcus fiercely protects the people he cares about. He does his duty as a ranger, but he particularly watches out for both Delenn and Susan. He nearly gives his life for Delenn and he ultimately does give his life for Susan.

I really want you to really want me, but I really don't know if you can do that.
I know you want to know what's right but I know it's so hard for you to do that.
And time's running out as often it does, and often dictates that you can't do that.
But fate can't break this feeling inside that's burning up through my veins.
Marcus loves Susan. He never actually makes a move because he doesn't think she returns the feelings. But everyone knows he loves her. He just waits patiently, watching out for her and being a friend, knowing that she is worth the wait.
Stephen Franklin
K’s Choice- Not an Addict

One of the biggest storylines for Franklin is his addiction to stims. As a Doctor on a busy station during a war, he rarely has time to sleep. Stims keep him functioning. Or so he tells himself. What started as an occasional way to stay awake quickly develops into a full-blown addiction, though he denies it for a long while.

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

Franklin is a Doctor first and foremost. He wants to be able to heal people. All the death and destruction of the war effects him deeply.

Lyta is a telepath, and as such many try to control her: the Vorlon created the telepaths and try to use her for their own purposes, Sheridan asks her to do things that make her incredibly uncomfortable, and the Psy Corps do everything in their power to get her back under their fold. Lyta struggles to find her own path and figure out exactly what she wants to do with her enhanced abilities.
Michael Geribaldi

Geribaldi has great difficulty in trusting others. It takes a long time and a lot of effort for him to be willing to trust anyone.

Geribaldi is betrayed and shot by his own second-in-command, someone who had earned his trust. After that, Geribaldi had an even harder time trusting others. He also took a while to trust his own instincts again.
Chris Young- Flowers

Oh, I wish that you could see me
Steady hands without the whiskey, you'd be so proud
Geribaldi struggles on and off with alcohol throughout the series. For the first long while, he is sober, though with the occasional slip. He does begin drinking again, though, in season 5. This song reflects his thoughts on Lise after he does get sober.
