Poem: Unrequited Love

Jul 30, 2006 00:32

It's already the 30th here, so here's my first post. ;) This is a poem which I wrote years ago, but I haven't posted in LJ yet, so I thought I might share it with you all now. :)

WARNING! Contains spoilers for 4x20 Endgame!

Unrequited Love

She was dying
He was there
He held her hand
And he was scared

He wanted to help her,
To save her life
But he could do nothing
Just stand by her side

Then it struck him,
Like a lightning from the sky
The alien device
Would keep her alive

He hooked them both to it
And looked at his love
Then kissed her so gently
With love in his eyes

He felt his soul drifting
Further away
Leaving his body
Empty inside

And then when he
Was almost away
He saw his love
Beginning to wake

He whispered the words
The last he could say
"I love you Susan"
And faded away.
