Huh. They were talking about Obama actually *winning* Lynchburg on ABC. Was there a recount? I'm almost certain the polls were closed by the time I saw that report.
Either way, though, way to not be sooo backward anymore, Lynchburg. Way to be. ;)
Nope. McCain by about 1,600. I just checked CNN totals. Either way, though, you're right. L-burg isn't quite as conservative as LU lackeys would have you believe.
Did you see where LU registered 4,000 students and shuttled them to Heritage Elementary to get them to vote for McCain?
McCain only took Lynchburg by 1,600 votes. I say "only" because I was shocked the number wasn't higher.
And in L-burg, of all places, I waited 1.5 hours to vote! Of all places in the world!!! I was kind of excited about it, too.
*sigh* I'd feel more vindicated about the past 8 years if W hadn't royally flushed the country down the crapper.

I have a brain and I use it.
Even if the mountainside has been tattooed.
Very tragic, that tattoo. And an eyesore.

LOL, and yet - you've resisted being run out of town all these years. Clearly you've got gumption, too ;)

Too fun.
The air is turning here, though. You can definitely sense that there's an "Us" side of town and a "Them" side of town. Almost a stench, really.
I enjoyed Obama's victory very much. Even sweeter knowing Jonathan Falwell did all he could to stop it. Asshat.
