Summary: In which Daehyun literally crashes into Youngjae.
Daehyun was having a really bad day. He got a low grade on his bio test and all he wanted to do was go to his apartment and take a nap. He packed his bag, put on his coat and headed out all bundled up. It was the beginning of December and it started to get a little chilly, so a light jacket was a must.
He started walking towards his apartment, which was only a few blocks away from his school campus. He had his face pointed towards to ground, an attempt to keep the wind from blowing straight at him, but in the process he accidentally crashed into a young man. The young man dropped some of the books he was carrying and Daehyun rushed to help him and apologize. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying atten-," his words were taken from his mouth as he looked at the cute face before him. The young man had cute chubby cheeks and spiky blonde hair that fell to the side. He was beautiful. Daehyun was taken away from his thoughts as the young man started speaking, "Oh, it's fine, I wasn't paying attention either," and give a bright smile. He got up and helped Daehyun up as well after picking up all his books. Daehyun smiled back and asked shyly, "Do you need any help with that?" all previous irritation vanishing, "I'm Daehyun, by the way." he scratched the back of his neck nervously. The young man looked at Daehyun and said, "Umm.. Sure, if that's not a problem with you and I'm Youngjae, nice to meet you!" he gave Daehyun another bright smile and handed him several books.
Youngjae led the way to the bookstore he worked at and told Daehyun to put the books on the counter when they got inside. Daehyun did just that and then looked around the cozy bookstore. He was in awe at the amount and variety of books in the surrounding shelves.
He turned his attention back to Youngjae and started asking him about his job, what school he went to and things like that. They found out that they were the same age and also went to the same school. They talked for hours on end, laughing and enjoying each other's company until it was time for the store to close.
Daehyun walked out with Youngjae and turned to him saying, "Today was fun, I'm really glad I crashed into you." Youngjae chuckled and said, "Yeah, it was. We should hang out again sometime. Thanks for helping me too." Daehyun smiled, "No problem." He thought about something for a second and then told Youngjae, "Let me see your phone for a second." Youngjae seemed puzzled but gave it to him anyway. Daehyun put his number in it and gave it back to Youngjae. "That's my number, give me a call when you wanna hang out, okay?" Youngjae smiled at that and said, "Definitely."
This looks like a start to a great friendship.
