(no subject)
So I haven't updated since last Saturday. Whopps! Life has been crazy and weird since then. That's my excuse!
Fran (bosslady) went to Fla on Saturday for a big family vacation. When she got there, she learned that her sister's daughter (so her niece) had passed away during gastric bypass surgery from a blood clot on her lung. She was headed to New Jersey for the funeral and I was incharge of the paper. Oh yeah!
So after editing and interviews and articles and last minute decisions, we do have paper #6 on the shelves right now! I'm really proud of me and Freda. We did the absolute best we could given the circumstances and practically no information. Yikes.
Other that that, the week has been good. Sean got back Tuesday. I lost my pool match Sunday and Tuesday. So much for my little winning streak!
Sean and I went on a date last night! Whoo hoo. Complete with getting prettied up and glasses of wine and everything. It was very cool. We went to Village Bistro, the new restaurant in Ballantyne Village. It's pretty swanky with yummmmmy food and evern yummmmier wine. They were doing a "soft opening" so the only thing we had to do was be patient with the waitstaff and pay for our wine. It was awesome.
Tonight is the night we've all been waiting for!! Sugarland concert!!! I can tell you're all very excited. I pick Justin up from his work at 6:30 and we head to Verizon. I still can't believe that Jennifer Nettles is going to be on stage at Verizon. I think I may cry. Brooks and Dunn will be there too but, seriously, who cares?! It's the first tour date of Sugarland + Brooks/Dunn. They've been with Kenny Chesney up to this point. It would have been damn cool to see them with him, but I'll get to see him later in the summer. I'm stoked!!!
