New Moon Waiting

Jul 30, 2012 16:10

Flitting through the sky, my wings spread far
And your touch sets fire to my gravity
Kissing each new revealed morsel as though
I were a delicacy
Beneath the darkened sky our bodies, entwined
Give new meaning to our words from long ago
Though our love faded, our hearts jaded
Experience tells me this will be the time
Explosive feeling courses through my veins
The moon dark, black, nonexistent
Shall I whisper your name to the sky?
The stars surely would appease the longing
Set into their lush verdancy
Blooming into a super nova
Above our heads, I rest with them
Within the sanctified passion of your arms
Surrounding me, comforting, safety
Life
You breathe into me the passion I have longed for
And I release as the new moon crests,
Awaiting the sun's arrival
To signal the new dawn of our arising
Together we shall engulf the sky again
Until then
I wait.
