Charity Challenge
I know most of us are still in con hang-over mode and not giving a lot of thought to MFM 2013 but I want to issue a challenge to _ALL_ who might attend MFM next year.
We sometimes get to see a large donation made to Tiger Haven just because. If you are like me and love our wonderful charity, Tiger Haven, then you may sometimes think, "I wish I had the funds to do something like that!". Well, there is a way to be part of something huge like that, even if you feel you don't have much to share.
My challenge to everyone is for the next year, every single week, set aside just $1.00.
Most get paid every week, so when you deposit your paycheck, keep one dollar out to store away somewhere safe for next year. If you get paid every two weeks, take two dollars out of each paycheck. By MFM 2013 you'll have $52.00 (or more if you decide to do extra once in a while) that you can hand straight to our Tiger Haven workers. A dollar a week is a small amount (not even enough to buy a cold soda bottle out of most machines) but after a year you have $52.00, still not a shocking amount but every bit helps and think about if we all do it!
If just 100 MFM attendees bring $52.00 each to hand to our Tiger Haven workers they'll have over $5000.00 just because! That alone nearly doubles what they usually get from the auction! MFM usually gets over 500 attendees, if everyone brings just $52.00 we'll be giving Tiger Haven around $26000.00 just because! Not counting what they get selling in Dealers Den or from the auction.
Can you imagine?! Each of us setting aside just $1.00 a week for the next year could mean our wonderful Tiger Haven workers heading home with _thousands_ of dollars "just because"!
I hope everyone will take this challenge and maybe even "one up" me by setting aside more than $1.00 a week. Lets give our ladies a really good reason to cry!
