C'mon humans. Contaminating the coasts of four states with crude? You're fucking kidding me. Alright, that's IT! I guess it's up to me to step in and cure this sick oil-dependence once and for all.
Maybe you heard that Halliburton installed the failed cut-off valve involved in the BP disaster. Now there's oil on the beaches and wetlands of every state except Texas on our southern coast. Why not Texas, you ask? Because Dick Cheney doesn't cum on his own face.
So what am I doing about it? I am starting a custom e-motor-bicycle business. Electric bikes/scooters are already available, but they really only appeal to the granola set. My target customers are the hard-cases. The gear-headed octane-monkeys who love their classic cars and bikes. You know, people who waste their time watching American Chopper. Yeah, people like me.
To that end, I have designed two bikes based on these frames. The blue, Worksman frame is my boutique build, and will resemble a board-track era bike. The black frame I am working on now and will be an affordable low-rider with chopper/bobber styling.
I've had to tool-up some to be able to tackle this the right way. The main expenditure was a TIG welding rig which I secretly learned how to use last year at LA Trade Tech community college. Besides that, the biggest expense has been these blue LiFEPO4, lithium batteries, $500 for twenty-four. The motor, controller and throttle are electric scooter parts.
So here's the chassis for the low-rider build. The bearings mounted on the seat-post tube will accommodate a jack-shaft which will aid the extreme gearing-down that is necessary with high-revving electric motors.
Watch this space for the birth of a brand, and the ultimate saving of our planet.
