Allow older pedestrians more time to cross the street. They are more likely to die as a result of a crash than younger pedestrians.
I'm reading the California Driver Handbook right now because I need to go and get my permit again, because I haven't driven in like a year and a half since I've been sick. And I came across this. I thought it was hilarious. If someone is young, you don't have to give them time to cross, because they are young and can run. But if they are old, give them more time, because if they get hit, they might die.....
