Wow...nostalgia. I can very vividly remember many things...its a strange trait, sort of a photographic longterm memory thing. I remember every detail of every event. It usually kicks me in the ass because I then analyze what I've remembered and it becomes one crazy hurricane in my mind!
So, here, I will write the fondest memories of my life...
(Childhood anyway....)
I remember when I met Aunt Lisa and Uncle Tom, I was 4ish and Lisa was pregnant with Kevin, she was so skinny that it looked like she had a big basketball shoved up her shirt...
I remember when Caitlin was born, I got to go see my mom at the hospital and hold my baby sister. She had bright red hair, like a fraggle...
I remember the first day of kindergarten, at 182 Whalehead Road, waiting for the bus stop, all dressed up, my mom with camera in hand getting on the bus and thinking it smelled funny, sitting down next to a big first grader, Katie Olsen, making sure not to touch the gross sticky duct tape used to patch the seats up, and being scared of what school would bring...
I remember being 6ish and flying kites with my dad when we went on picnics, I remember how I barely came up to his waist, and he'd put me on his shoulders to make me feel tall. Then we'd put the blanket over his head and walk up to mom and tell her how tall I was.... ( I don't think we fooled her! )
I remember my first school play, in 1st grade. It was about the alphabet and I got to be "little q." I had to sing this whole song called "Q needs U." To this day, Mr. Poris still calls me "little q."...
More nostalgia to come !
