I know I haven't updated
My LJ in over two months. I am a totall slacker, I know. I have been so busy with work, having to move by the end of the month and having no place to live yet and my brother getting married in less than a month.
I have gotten a promotion of sorts, doing different duties but no title change. Can't really complain to much as I am enjoying what I am doing now and get to log some OT (almost 16 hours in my last two pay checks together). It is nice to be able to do some different things and have the SR. VP of Mrkt. think your ideas are awesome, it does something for your ego. My boss has now been back in the office for a week after being on maternity leave for almost 6 months. It is strange since I still have assistant in my title but am not supporting her, she is really bummed about it but have been her assistant for over 4 years now and she knows that is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. Fingers crossed something comes of my duties.
We have found a place that we like that is about 6 blocks from the house that I grew-up in. I dropped the credit check and application on Friday and am now just waiting to hear back from the property management company. Getting pretty anxious to hear back from them since this is the only place that we have found that we like, is in our budget and availalbe when we need it to be.
My brother's wedding is a whole other can of worms. I just can't believe that I have to go to the ceremony but am not allowed in the church for it. I feel really bad for my 85 year old grandma who has to use a walker and she can't go in the church either. My future sister-in-law is a can of worms that I don't have a big enough can opener to deal with it (or the energy either right now).
