(no subject)
So the first week of school is over and I'm back in the ATX after an amazing weekend in Florida. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Perfect weather, got to see dolphins (up close and personal...very cool), lots of great food, great people....perfect!!
Thursday Heather and I left ATX and went to H-town to stay at her sisters place...got up bright and early Friday morning (5 am) and packed the car and got coffee ready...took off to B.R. LA to drop off Tarsey's (sp?) mom. Got lunch there and left again for good ol' Niceville Florida. Got to Florida around 4 (we left at 6am) and went out to dinner and pretty much went to bed after. We all had a long day. Saturday we got up, had a yummy breakfast and went out on the boat and jet ski...did some water skiing, wave running, tubing, and jet skiing...until Kim got stung by a jelly fish...so we took a lunch break...then went out again...cuz we're like that. Heather and I played around on the jet skis..then we all came back around 5 to get ready for dinner. Us girls went to Destin and had dinner there, then went to some bar and had drinks...I got a really cool souvenier glass (for free) cuz it was my b-day...and I was ordering Heathers drink so she got a free one as well! Went back to Heathers place and crashed. Sunday we got up early and went to Destin and chilled on the beach and played in the water and saw...dun dun dun...a STING RAY! haha...uh oh. there were jelly fish there so Heather and I decided to get out cuz we didn;t want to get stung. Went to lunch, went back to Heathers, played some airhockey, then got on the big boat and took a "boat cruise" around Destin...so beautiful. The sun was setting when we got back so we all got drinks and sat on their dock and watched the sunset and the dolphins swim by us...beautiful. Yesterday we woke up at 5, got ready, and left a little before 6. Got back to Kims place and had to wait for Tarseys husband to fix the flat so Heather and I could leave...we left around 5 and got back to Austin around 7:30...great weekend...totally worth missing that quiz!
oh, so I'm on the phone with my mom while Heather and I are driving back to Austin...and she's telling me about the Croc hunter and I'm like "hey, mom, guess what Heather and I saw while we were at the beach?? A sting ray!!!" I think she about had a heart attack...oops. But it's all good...we weren't idiots taunting it...
k, I guess I need to go do some homework before my classes today...
