I don't generally cry during movies. I have a couple times, but I don't normally get so over-emotional for a movie. I was bawling by the end of Sicko, Michael Moore's documentary about health care. I know that Michael Moore is a spin genius. I often times don't take a lot of things he says too seriously, because I know it's all bent out of shape, but his movie made me want to go live in any country that wasn't here.
I know there are problems with any heath care system, but seeing that there are countries where a doctor can actually honor the Hippocratic oath, in a way that most doctors here can not, just blew me away. To see that there are places where they don't turn anyone away who needs treatment, where they deal in preventative care, that they pay doctors MORE for making sure their patients are healthy... Instead of having doctors who work for insurance companies who get paid more for denying medical treatment.
I want to move. I don't want to live in the US anymore. Or I want to get every single US citizen pissed off enough that we can actually do something.
