Merlin Season 5 Arthur's Bane Part 1

Okay, at last I did watch the first episode of this new season.

I still do love that show A LOT even if a lot of things disappointed me in the past and I know that I'll still be disappointed again xD
Though, that episode wasn't bad ;)

Your post reminded me that I really wanted to post my thought too, only I recently barely am online. Maybe I'll do it today :)

I agree with you, a lot of things in the show and how the wrote some of the characters disappointed me a lot as well. I still don't know what to think of series 4, but right now I just told myself that if I can't be satisfied with the writers' decisions, I will just sit back and enjoy the show, if only for the pretty. I know it's shallow, but it lets me enjoy it more :)

And YESSS, Morgana was gorgeous! :D And I like Mordred, too. I feel like they have something up their sleeves when it comes to him, and even Alexander Vlahos keeps repeating that Mordred is not what we think he is, so I'm curious.

I'm only afraid of tha battle of Camlann and how will it end. I'm afraid that it may end with Merlin saving the day again, and somehow saving Arthur, and that Morgana was holding Mordred in these visions and they'll both die :(

I do think like you. I know the writers already disappointed me, like a lot. But there are things I still like about the show and I know that we can expect good moments too, so I'm just keep watching. But they better do something good for Camlann if they don't want me to bite them èé

Exactly! I would actually say that I'm going to stop watching it if they change that scene in Camlann but it will be at the very end, so I can't. But I really hope they won't change it and keep it just like in the legends.

I was wondering what you'd think of the new Mordred. ;) It seems to me that they did a pretty decent job with casting, though I agree, he could be prettier. I've got high hopes for this season though, really. Already, it seems to be on the right track. I was really impressed with Gwen, actually! And the fact that I actually liked her as queen. *__*

Anyway. I really hope things continue like this! I'm looking forward to next week! ^_^

I really hope they'll do something good ir this season. I agree with you regarding Gwen, she was really good in that first episode and I liked her as Queen of Camelot.^^

Loved the first episode although Mordred was not as striking as young!Mordred. But so many LOTR references - 'orc' mines, rabbits, hiding under the tree roots, Gollum-creature etc. Made me smile!

That's true. Mordred could have been better but he could have been worse too!:p

I liked Alex as the new Mordred. I thought he had a similar look to Asa and I love how excited he is to have this part.

I think they did a pretty good thing about the look and that he suceeded to mimic some Asa's expressions though being a whole new Mordred himself. And I do love his voice, I think it is perfect!♥
