Le Mont-Saint-Michel

Hi there!

I know I promise some weeks ago to share my pictures from the Saint Michael's Mount!
So, here, they are!^^

Firstly, HERE & HERE you can find some informations about the Mount.
You do know me now, my lovely Flist, I'm definitely a too lazy person to explain everything on LJ!:p

Now, let's share the pictures! ;)

Le Mouton Blanc (The white Sheep) is a hotel-resturant where we spent our first night and have our first meal. It is a really nice and cosy place to stay. Really traditionnal and it is not that expensive.

The view from our bedroom. The Mount is rather "small" and full of really narrow streets.

The entrance of the hotel.

The Mount the day we arrived. We were really lucky to have such a beautiful and warm day.

The main street. Actually it is the only street xD

The church kept by Jeanne of Arc.

A stained glass window of St Michael and the Virgin Mary.

The bay

A restaurant

The entrance of the city. "La Mère Poulard" is the most famous restaurant around.

Our diner in the restaurant. It is famous for its omelette. It is a rather expensive restaurant but the hubby and I wanted to taste their famous omelette. We were really disappointed because we really dislike the omelettes. I really do not call that edible food. I couldn't even ate half of mine. Not a good memory xD

Our room in the hotel. Really nice indeed but definitely too expensive for what it actually is.

The view from our bedroom. The entrance of the city and the bay.

The St Michael Mount by night. It was really lovely!

The abbey.
The last day we visited the abbey. It is such a gorgeous place!
I'd advise you to visit it with a guid. We were lucky because we had a really excellent guid. He really knew his stuff and was such a fun man! (Trying to lose the children everywhere xD Giving them keys to secret doors. They had such a blast! As we had^^)

Inside the Abbey.

The cloister, the garden of the Abbey on the third floor. Totaly awesome!

Statue of Archangel Michael atop the spire of the Abbey. The Archangel killing the dragon.
I suppose my fellows from Merlin fandom do recognize it! ;););)
The first one was in pure gold but was melt down during the French Revolution. The new one (rolled gold) was given by the French Government in 1987.

Our last night at the Mount.
The whole islet was covered by mist. This was just amazing and so totaly mystical.
I do love mist and I couldn't have been happier ♥
