a fun story
last saturday was a beautiful, warm, and sunny day. it was also the start of beer week. in celebration, Worm and i went to the Marathon Grill at 10th & Walnut for their beer brunch hosted by Victory. we had french toast with apples cooked in Golden Monkey. he got a Bloody Victory (Bloody Mary with Golden Monkey instead of vodka) and i had a Baltic Thunder. lovely.
on our tipsy walk back, we walked by Lisa's apartment and thought we might ask her to join us for a beautiful day. she invited us inside for a few minutes, and then we left for our adventure. walking down the stairs and onto the sidewalk i noticed something on the ground - a fifty dollar bill!
we asked the one person nearby if it was his ("no, but can i get $10?!"), just so that we wouldn't feel bad about taking it.
it was a very nice amount for three people to spend on a saturday. we went to Haagen Dazs first for smoothies to complement the nice day. then we walked down to Penn's Landing, and while sitting there decided we would like to spend the rest of our cash on seeing Coraline. and we did.
