Ooh, we love comments! *squees*
"1. Your artists did an amazing job (I've left comments for them as well), but having an image of Gabby certainly helped."
I can't thank Tiffany & Chloie enough. This story is as much theirs as it is mine, I got tons of inspiration from the art! :-)
"2. I liked the exploration and reconstruction of the three main relationships. Chloe/Clark, Chloe/Gabby and Gabby/Clark."
Again, time was on my side, and I was very, very fortunate to have the last posting slot. And my betas kept me in line with balancing out all the key relationships in the story. I owe Sky & Tobey Christmas presents, seriously! :-D
"3. I liked that the supporting characters of Bruce, Martha and Jor-el supported rather than adding in there own 2 pages of additional angst (eg Bruce could have been bitter about being the fill in for 13 years - which is a long time IMO - but he was supportive, understanding an even IMO a little relieved that he didn't have to keep THAT secret anymore moved the story along nicley)"
I was determined to keep the cameo appearances short and sweet, so that the focus could remain on Chlark and Gabby. Having a mopey Bruce or bitter Diana would have thrown the story completely off-kilter, I think! :-D
"4. I like that you kept the sub plots simple, the characters were rewarding and the lack of resolution about Gabe Sullivan - left just enough out to appreciate the ending that Chloe and Clark got, but that they still had some work to do with there family (with everyone not just Gabe)"
Well spotted, babes. I deliberately left Gabe open-ended because as I was coming to the end of the story I had a great idea for a sequel, and I didn't want to derail from the main focus of this story by exploring it too fully. So hold onto your seats, because I ain't finished with Gabe Sullivan just yet! ;-)
