typhoons, bullet train, kyoto, ryokan, tokyo dome, thunder dolphin, octipus on a stick, rice balls and tea, very sore feet, amazing relatives..7,12 &14 plus two adults, gifts, vending machines..cigarettes, drinks, beers the works, trains, bikes, women and men with 1-3 babies on bikes, and bikes and scooters and narrow unlined streets. it's hot out, hotter than anything i've ever felt and it gets even hotter at night.. even punks can't not take showers here. very loud bugs at every hour, sending out a tone from somewhere out of the trees. everone is hospitable, stares, bows, serves, looks amazing where's heels and padded bras. things seem simpler here. but i can't speak japanese past a few key phrases. food flows. drinks flow.. and my relatives drink ALOT. no one has tattoos or piercings, but me looking strange is a good thing for once. being tan is strange unless you are a shibuya girl, and those are spary-on tans. i didn't realize you couls eat THAT MANY animals from the sea.
