Hi.
It's been a while since my last blog. Baby Connor is now a little over 3 months old. He's a big boy like his Papa, and he's handsome, happy & healthy. We couldn't be happier & love him very much! Maternity leave has come and gone, and I've been back on the job for about 3 weeks now. I thought I wasn't able to keep up with it when going back to work, but thankfully I'm still breastfeeding & managing to pump while working my busy 12 hr shifts at the hospital. We are all doing great. I've lost most of my pregnancy weight (40 lbs). People have asked me how I did it and honestly...I don't know. I'm pretty sure breast feeding helps a whole lot though, and the lack of sleep you get, haha.
Connor is light-skinned. His eyes when he was first born were blue. Now they are greyish with some dark blue/green at times. He has light brown hair, looks blonde in the sun. He has my eye shape, my nose & lips. He has Shaun's built, his ears, hands and feet. I'd say his temperament is pretty good. But I think he's starting to teeth, because he's drooling more & gets fussy at times. His last doctor check up at about 2.5 months, he was 16 lbs, 4 oz and 26 inches. So he's definitely a chunker!
He LOVES LOVES to take baths, he loves to kick and splash the water everywhere. His bedtime routine consists of getting a bath (which usually tires him out), then changed into pajamas, being fed afterwards, then we place him in the crib and he's able to fall asleep (without rocking him or anything). He sleeps pretty well. Last night he slept from 10pm to 5:30am. Of course, it wasn't always like that...we've learned to stick to a routine & be able to get him to sleep on his own.
His smiles are the best, it melts our hearts. He laughs and coos, and tries to talk back to us. Time does fly fast, and he has grown sooooo much within the last 3 months. I've learned to take many pictures & videos, because before you know it...they are all grown up!
Shaun has been a great father & husband, and has been very loving & supportive with everything. Life has been very busy, but I can't complain! Anyway, the baby, the husband & the dog are all napping, and I should nap too! I'll post some pictures up next time~!
